MH Summer Academy by & with Michaela Huber in Hamburg
Join us live as we explore the question:
Stress and the consequences of stress: What to do when the organism can no longer be calmed down?
2 Day event for professionals and interested parties
Day 1: Open auditorium with Michaela Huber as speaker
"Back to basics": Let us understand once again and better and better what stress of all kinds does to the organism. We should be particularly interested in the role played by the point in life when "too much stress" hits the organism. So let us look at how our clients/patients deal with stress, supplemented with case studies from the participants: From transgenerational transmissions, procreation (rape? Abortion attempts? Father and/or mother with abuse of psychogenic substances? Genetic factors?) to stress during pregnancy, birth trauma, early separations and losses, to neglect, abandonment (also welfare neglect) and physical or sexualised experiences of violence, crises of meaning in adolescence (in recent years also the Corona crisis), relationship and career breakdowns, to illnesses and crises in old age. In the end, it will be crucial to choose the chronic stress consequences as well as the individual resilience and resources of the clients as the starting point for the therapy options to be developed for each individual case, in complex cases together with other professional groups from social and health care. And what happens when nothing seems to help? A warm invitation to learn and discuss together!
Day 2: Intensive case discussions, if necessary with live work with Michaela Huber and Kathrin Contzen
