What the ICD-11 says about dissociation
A lot has changed from ICD-10 to ICD-11. Not only has the diagnosis "complex post-traumatic stress disorder" been added to the internationally binding diagnostic manual. It has also described the trauma-related disorders associated with severe dissociations in more detail, and in some cases created new diagnoses for them, such as the important "trance disorder" or "partial dissociative identity disorder", which is differentiated from the full-blown DIS. What diagnostic information does the ICD-11 provide for differential diagnosis and how can the diagnoses be made in everyday therapeutic practice?
